always a Student of Yoga but no longer a Student Yoga Teacher...
Today I am no longer a Student Yoga Teacher.. but I will always be a student of Yoga, my 4 years with the British Wheel of Yoga, (2 years as Derbyshire County Rep) Foundation 1 & 2, my 3 year Teacher Training is officially complete... it hasn't really had time to digest but to now draw a line under this part of my life feels very cathartic.. as one chapter closes another will begin & for that I am most grateful.. whenever I say to myself.... I have learned so much.. I am always reminded of
Hafez’s “I Have Learned So Much“ (translated by Daniel Ladinsky in 'The Gift')
...I have learned so much from God
That I can no longer call myself A Christian, a Hindu, a Muslim, a Buddhist, a Jew.
The truth has shared so much of itself with me
That I can no longer call myself
A man, a woman, an angel, or even a pure soul.
Love has befriended Hafez so completely, it has turned to ash and freed me… Of every concept and image, my mind has ever known.

Glapwell class
I owe a lot to this class, after completing my first assessed class I wanted a break & decided to stop teaching.. a lovely man gave me a call looking for a yoga teacher, he had beginner students waiting.. so I went.. & I taught them & I stayed & they worked hard, they improved but so did I, even when the studio is complete I hope I honour this class by staying with them till they have had enough of me
and since March....
having lost my iMac many months ago, & of course being in my final year of my Yoga TT.. i really did lose interest in updating things

We started the year's workshops with lovely Monique Fryer.. then across to Shrewsbury to work with Zoe Knott on handstands/headstands, the following week we went to Kent for a couple of days to work with Zoe again (& Hugh) Zoe's friday night class was a complete killer, i have never isolated & used muscles in such a way before & so very safe too, after class we went home with them for soup, tea & lovely conversation.. Saturday was King Pigeon half taught by Zoe & then Hugh, again really strong day but loved it
Never been under the Thames before.. Blackwall Tunnel
i am on my 4th week of teaching Yoga.. this is relaxation in my class, the room we have is so lovely, clean, spacious & underfloor heated... the first class i taught i thought was awful, the 2nd/3rd were great, last night i had a lady in her 60's who had 'asthma' though turns out she has COPD & smokes, i'm finding teaching difficult, its in my nature to nuture & I should be a therapist really, i can't just mass teach & go through the motions especially when i have been through so much.. i really have to work on this
