Midnight day 1

This room is so warm even with the window open. It's miserable weather, slushy sleet & snow. Gilly & I arrived just after midday, the hike from reception to AV1 wasn't expected, I went for salad at lunch with cake obviously, saw Jean & Julie, then I trundled off to my first class -Sam Settle & he taught us a class just as he would if teaching in prison, there wasn't many of us but a couple already taught in prison, really fascinating to hear the positive impact teaching them can have, met a lovely RTO who made a lovely effort to chat with me... first timer & all that jazz

Short welcome talk, saw my most wonderful teacher Miss AK & Richard/GG/CC headed off to lunch, though not hungry still had cake with my very odd veg burger & quinoa, waffled to a pair from Hampshire/Manchester both long distance BWY one Anusara so great to hear them 'debate' but they were so friendly too

Lisa McRory was excellent, hip work right deep in the socket, the sort of work I really need, Sally was sat with me & she cried after class, we walked back to accommodation chatting about fear & tension. We are up & in class for 7am, had a bath & laughing to myself as the woman next door is snoring like a steam train, oh the irony, I joked with Gilly earlier that I would introduce myself to my neighbour & pretend I had sleep apnea.. Glad I brought my ear plugs!!
